Design for Good - Drive Positive Impact through Design

One Bite Design Studio is an architecture-based multidisciplinary design company dedicated to creating positive impact through design. Headquartered in Hong Kong with a growing presence in London, our community of architects, designers, community outreach managers and event managers, strives to bridge the gaps between space, place and our society by constantly exploring the synergies among our stakeholders. Our agile team composition, leading role in the local co-creation scene and the pursuit in forward-thinking innovations with research support are our signature. Placemaking is in our DNA and we believe in the co-creative process with our partners and users for the new urban vision. We generate inventive solutions with quick wins, active engagement and workshop facilitation.

Using a user-centred approach, our works, grounded in architecture, urban, culture and social creatives, are articulated with a touch of human sensitivity. We work as three teams, focusing on different goals – onebite DESIGN as initiator, onebite RESEARCH as detective, onebite SOCIAL as advocates.

We are a Certified B Corporation.

onebite is Hong Kong’s first certified B Corp architecture firm. It is more than a delight and honour to join all B Corps across the world, as people using business as a force for good™️.

The certification not only recognises the dedicated work of the team, it also points to the significance and potential of architecture as a catalyst for a better future. Proudly and humbly, we will continue to design to make a difference for our city.

We are committed to serve at least 75% local and independent clients/customers and to purchase at least 50% of core products from independent suppliers local to where the company operates.

Urban Storyteller

Placemaking extends beyond design. A story that touches hearts and spark ideas can rally a community to improve the environment they live in. We believe in the power of data-driven stories, supported by in-depth social research and innovative urban analytics tools to make positive impact. For us, surveys and figures are not cold and boring; in fact, they represent collective opinions and group behaviour that help us make sense of the communities we engage and design for.

The Joy of B

B stands for many things. It's part of our philosophy to bite a slice of life. It also represents onebite's commitment as Hong Kong's first B Corp-certified design studio. It also refers to onebite's analogy of placemaking as the 6 steps of Bread Making. Most of all, it is our commitment to better design practices dedicated to making equitable, thriving and healthy environments.
