Harvesting Joy Collection

In 2019, onebite and New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (NLPRA) embarked on gift330, a collaborative project that sought to transform art pieces by Persons in Recovery (PIR) from mental illnesses into lifestyle products.

Harvesting Joy is the latest collection that continues to celebrate the creativity and resilience of PIRs. The product launch coincided with the completion of the New Life Farm’s makeover, making it a meaningful moment of celebration.

Seeing my work made into products is such a surprise and made me happy. I feel like I did something great. - Chi Yeung

Six NLPRA trainees took part in the project, each with their own distinct interpretation of " moments of joy”. onebite’s design team brought these together into a unified visual style while preserving the originality of each artwork.

Inspired by the idea that joy emerges when progress becomes visible, the project draws a strong parallel between harvesting and recovery — both shaped by patience, care, and steady growth over time.

Through a newly launched range of products, Harvesting Joy turns lived experience into thoughtful design, giving PIRs a platform to express creativity while sharing encouragement and hope. More than a product collection, it celebrates transformation: the quiet but powerful journey from tending to flourishing, and from effort to visible progress.
