[Co-create beyond Limit]
Type: Outdoor | Public Furniture
Location: Central, Hong Kong
Client: Tseung Kwan O Aged Care Complex, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council
Worked closely with seniors from H.K.S.K.H. Tseung Kwan O Aged Care Complex, the furniture piece we designed and built together aimed to weave different playful elements into a functional structure. Instead of creating just another pavilion for relaxation, our design sought to explore the possibilities of multifunctional public furniture. Composed of three activity zones, each represented a distinctive function: playing, growing and bonding, this design could cater for diversity in one single structure. The sliding chairs and panels did not only enhance the flexibility of the space, more importantly, they provided the playability that conventional pavilion lacked of. Who says seniors cannot have fun and imagination?
